  • Krystal McLean

    Front Office & Administration

    Krystal McLean has been with Adamson & Dobbin Ltd. since 2017, serving as a key part of the company’s front office and administrative team. As the first point of contact for clients, suppliers, and staff, she plays an important role in maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.

    Krystal supports both the project management and estimating teams through coordination, communication, and day-to-day administrative functions. Her responsibilities include managing calls and correspondence, organizing documentation, and helping ensure projects and office operations run smoothly.

    Krystal is an essential part of keeping the Adamson & Dobbin team connected and operating efficiently.

    Finance & Administration

    Heather Wilson joined Adamson & Dobbin Ltd. in 2011, bringing a strong background in Human Resources. Since that time, she has developed alongside the organization, assuming progressively broader responsibilities and contributing to the company’s continued growth.

    Throughout her tenure, Heather has demonstrated exceptional versatility and a comprehensive understanding of company operations. She currently oversees financial management, project administration, payroll coordination, and human resources functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across all areas.

    Heather’s professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence make her an invaluable member of the Adamson & Dobbin team.

  • Dave Watt

    Project Manager

    Dave Watt is a highly experienced Project Manager with over 30 years in the industrial, commercial, and institutional construction sector. He joined Adamson & Dobbin Ltd. in 1996 and has advanced through the organization from plumber and gas pipe fitter to mechanical site supervisor, and now Project Manager.

    Dave brings extensive expertise in mechanical systems, project scheduling, estimating, and site supervision. His strong ability to interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings, combined with his hands-on field experience, allows him to effectively manage complex projects from planning through to completion.

    He has successfully led a wide range of projects, including healthcare facilities, educational institutions, industrial plant upgrades, and large-scale residential developments. Dave’s practical knowledge, leadership, and commitment to quality ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

  • Mark Schad

    Project Manager

    Mark Schad has been a driving force at Adamson & Dobbin Ltd. for over 30 years, building his career from apprentice to Project Manager. His hands-on experience and deep industry knowledge make him a trusted leader in delivering complex mechanical projects.

    Mark specializes in industrial, commercial, and institutional work, with a proven track record managing HVAC and mechanical installations for schools, healthcare facilities, and major manufacturing clients. Known for his practical approach and strong leadership, he consistently delivers projects on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

    His long-standing commitment and expertise make Mark an integral part of the Adamson & Dobbin team.

  • Steve Dawson

    Senior Estimator

    Steve Dawson has been a key part of Adamson and Dobbin Ltd. since 1983, starting as a student labourer and moving into the office in 1986. He has since progressed into his role as Senior Estimator, building a deep understanding of the industry and a strong commitment to the company.

    With experience spanning project management and coordination, Steve brings a practical, well-rounded perspective to pre-construction planning. He leads the estimating department, delivering accurate, competitive bids and helping position projects for success from the outset.

    Steve plays a critical role in securing work and supporting the continued growth of Adamson and Dobbin.

  • David Dobbin

    Past President and General Manager

    David Dobbin is a third-generation leader of Adamson and Dobbin Ltd., carrying forward a family legacy that began with his grandfather, Louis Dobbin, in 1903, and was later led by his father, Gordon Dobbin from 1938 to 1973. David took over the business in 1974 and played a pivotal role in transforming it into a leading mechanical contractor.

    Under his leadership, the company expanded significantly within the industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) sectors, strengthening its reputation and growing its presence across Ontario. In 2012, David established a partnership with his son, Shane Dobbin, supporting the continued evolution of the company before stepping back from day-to-day operations in 2018.

    Beyond Adamson and Dobbin, David remains actively involved in the mechanical contracting industry. He represents management on the Mechanical Contractors Association of Ontario (MCAO) board and serves as President of the Toronto Sheet Metal Association (TSM), contributing to industry standards, advocacy, and workforce development.

    While no longer involved in daily operations, David continues to support and strengthen the mechanical industry in Ontario through his leadership and ongoing involvement.

  • Shane Dobbin

    President and General Manager

    Shane Dobbin represents the next generation of leadership at Adamson and Dobbin Ltd., continuing a family legacy that spans over a century. He became a partner in 2012 and assumed the role of President and General Manager in 2018, leading the company into its next phase of growth.

    With a strong understanding of both field operations and business management, Shane oversees all aspects of the company, including project delivery, operations, and strategic direction. He is focused on maintaining the company’s reputation for quality while continuing to expand its presence in the industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.

    Shane’s leadership ensures Adamson and Dobbin remains a trusted and forward-looking mechanical contractor.
